In this episode we hit the boob jokes right out of the gates. Also, we are introduced to a host of new characters. Fresh blood. Finally! We explore the city of Severen, and the high society of Vint. Kvothe meets the Maer Alveron and saves his life.
Oh yeah, and Denna’s back. Inexplicably, Denna is back. What?!?
Next time we will cover chapters 61-69.
Predictions:
- Maer Alveron is not really attempting to court Lady Lackless. This is about spying on her.
- Bredon is Master Ash. But, even if he isn’t Master Ash, Master Ash is around Severen.
- The name Lackless comes from the word Lockless, and in the past the family used to be called Lockless.
- The Four Plate door and the door in the Lackless family are connected.
- Kvothe will learn more about the Amyr and Chandrian from/through Lady Lackless than he did in the Archives.
- Using Maer Alveron’s money to pay for his Lute was a mistake.

Pleeeeeease read Mistborn or the Farseer trilogy!!! If you do I’ll be so happy I’ll probably cry. I love everything by Sanderson (except Elantris) but Final Empire is one of my favourites and far more approachable than The way of kings, my definite favourite. I did have some trouble with the second Farseer book but the overall story is certainly worth it and I simply cannot put into words how much I love Hobb’s characters, I’ve read A LOT of fantasy but she’s the one who’s really gotten into my soul. Another option by her could be the Liveship traders trilogy which is a bit more difficult to get into but simply brilliant.
Thanks for doing the podcast 🙂

Thank you. We haven’t made a final decision yet but those are both on the table.
