In this episode we cover the Prologue and the first five chapters of The Wise Man’s Fear by Patrick Rothfuss.
These are the chapters where we’re setting the stage for the events in book two. They are largely table setting at this point. But, we still find a way to talk about them for an hour.
In the next podcast we will cover chapters 6 though 10.
Notes:
We talk about Kote asking for brass ringed barrels. We didn’t pick up on it at the time, but it seems obvious now, that Kote did that so that Bast wouldn’t have to worry about touching iron. Hey, even podcasters miss something every once in a while. (Nod to CasterQuest for the assist!)

I am also a hater of Denna! you are not alone! but if I really think about it, it’s not about her, it’s how Kvothe just pines after her so hard that it’s almost creepy.
